In Honor & Celebration of Ruthie Spriggs
February 11 -22, 2019
319 S Park St, Maize KS 67101
The Arc is proud to announce its 6th annual art show in honor and celebration of Ruthie Spriggs who for 30+ years taught and inspired children and adults of all abilities. Through her love of art she sparked their inner artists and taught them to express themselves through their work.
The Art Show is open to everyone with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the state of Kansas. Any artistic medium is acceptable. We strongly encourage buddy pairs to create a project together for schools that have the Circle of Friends program. We would like all special education students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate.
On Friday, February 15, there will be a reception to honor all artists at MOXI Junction from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. At the reception, awards will be presented to the top winners of each category. All artists will receive a certificate. Because of the limited space, only the top pieces and honorable mentions will be displayed.
The Arc’s Annual Art Show is sponsored by The Arc’s Shooting Stars Self Advocates, presented by The Arc’s Circle of Friends mentoring program.
