October 27 – November 18
Location: CityArts – 2nd Floor Board Gallery
334 N Mead
The Arc is proud to announce our 5th annual art show in honor and celebration of Ruthie Spriggs who for 30+ years taught and inspired children and adults of all abilities. Through her love of art she sparked their inner artists and taught them to express themselves through their work.
The Art Show is open to everyone with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the state of Kansas. Any artistic medium is acceptable. We strongly encourage buddy pairs to create a project together for schools that have the Circle of Friends program. We would like all special education students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate.
Submission will be accepted from September 1 – October 10. Drop entries off to The Arc Office at 2919 W Second St N, Wichita KS 67203 attention to Hillary Zwetzig. Make sure all entries are accompanied by an entry form.
On the evening of Friday, October 27, there will be a reception to honor all artists. At the reception awards will be presented to the top winners of each category. Because of the limited space, only the top pieces will be displayed.
The Arc’s Annual Art Show is sponsored by The Arc’s Shooting Stars Self Advocates, presented by The Arc’s Circle of Friends mentoring program.
