Down Syndrome Society of Wichita

Resources are available to all interested families, friends, and professional.  Many of the people in our group have experiences with professionals in the community and are a valuable resource with whatever needs arise.

Parent members are available for home and hospital visits to provide support for parents after the diagnosis of Down syndrome.

Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation – Financial Empowerment

The goal of AmeriCorps Financial Empowerment Services is to help low-income, working individuals and families improve their financial situation and achieve a greater degree of financial self-sufficiency.

The project is supported by a grant from AmeriCorps State and National, as well as funding from the Institute of Economic Empowerment. AFES offers free tax preparation, financial literacy classes, and Social Security Disability Benefits and work incentive education to people with disabilities and the community.
